On Thursday 8th of March, the European Technology Chamber (EUTECC) hosted another EUTECC Forum in southern Germany. The event was hosted in Munich, the capital and the most populated city in Bavaria. Furthermore, Munich is also a major economic center, and is a global city which holds the headquarters of many influential companies like BMW or Siemens.

The event took place in the Bayerischer Hof Hotel which is situated in the heart of Munich’s historic center. More than 60 innovative companies from across Europe participated in the fully booked event.
EUTECC was honored with the participation of several technology companies, associations, clusters, and other interested companies which attended the event. The audience listened to interesting presentations introducing the chamber, and its tools to help EU technology leaders to land in the HD China EU Future City (HD CEFC) – the pilot project for the EU China Sustainable Urbanization Partnerships.

Florian von Tucher, Chairman of EUTECC, provided the attendees an understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the Chinese market. Following that, Mr. von Tucher as well as other representatives of EUTECC gave an overview of EUTECC’s value proposition.
Ms. Sierra Wang, Chairwomen of Huan De Future City, gave a speech about the HuanDe Group and their activities in China.

Later, Cluster City gave insights how a successful expansion to China, and how Clusters can assist in business development with companies. The event was concluded by a presentation of Michael Bulla, introducing the opportunities within projects with a focus on promoting integral human development.

After the presentations, participants witnessed a signing ceremony with a company which designs and produces energy efficient solutions, to enter the Chinese market with the help of EUTECC and HD CEFC.

Overall, the participants got an understanding how EUTECC supports innovative, high-tech companies from Europe when trying to expand their operations in the international context and be successful in emerging markets. Furthermore, some of the participating companies already expressed interest in the upcoming event on the 3rd of May in Milan, Italy. In the end, the tools offered by EUTECC like the HD CEFC project, was seen as a great opportunity to consider when entering the Chinese market.
